Our policy

We operate our businesses with the aim of contributing to a richer society through the communication of better information and culture. We acquire, use and provide personal information appropriately for the scale and nature of each business, and work to keep it secure, accurate and protected from risk.

We handle a large volume of personal information. We regard its protection as a top management priority and carry out the following.

1. We have established a personal information protection management system that conforms to JIS Q 15001 and suits the realities of our business, and we observe it as our highest internal standard.
2. We collect, use and provide personal information in accordance with that management system and its related internal rules.
3. We use personal information only within the scope needed to achieve the specified purpose, do not use it for other purposes, and take measures to ensure this.
4. We take reasonable organisational, technical, personnel and physical safeguards against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, alteration and leakage of personal information. Where circumstances change or a shortcoming comes to light, we correct and improve those safeguards promptly.
5. We respond sincerely to complaints and enquiries, review their content, and work continuously to raise our standard of personal information protection.
6. We comply with laws and regulations on personal information protection, national guidelines, industry norms and practice, and public order and morals.
7. We review the management system, related rules and our protection framework regularly and improve them continuously.

Use of publicly available personal information

We obtain personal information from sources such as corporate websites, telephone directories, business directories, official gazettes and other commercially available listings. We use this information to introduce our services. Where we contact an individual using such information, we notify them of the purpose of use and how the information was obtained, and obtain their consent. Where we obtain personal information directly from an individual, we notify them of the purpose of use at the time of collection and obtain their consent.

Use of personal information entrusted to us

We handle personal information entrusted to us in order to provide management functions to the entrusting party, manage recruitment progress, make contact by telephone and email, provide information by telephone, email and post, and carry out testing operations.
